AG-WELD are low hydrogen type electrodes containing iron powder for welding ordinary low alloy steel. The covering contains iron powder, allowing it to weld with high efficiency, and the melting rate is around 110%.

  • Operation: It operates in all positions on both DC and AC (AC open circuit voltage $\ge 70\text{V}$).

  • Weld Characteristics: The deposited metal shows high plasticity, better toughness, and crack resistance.

Applications

For welding key structures and $50\text{kg/mm}^2$ class high tensile steel of ships and bridges.

Note on Usage

  • Dry electrodes at $350^{\circ}\text{C}$ for one hour before use.

Packing Details

Packing is in cartons of 20kgs net each, consisting of:

  • 8 boxes x 2.5kgs for size 2.5mm.

  • 4 boxes x 5kgs for size 3.2mm, 4.0mm, and 5.0mm.
