Description

NIHONWELD AZUCAL 80, also known as the “Sugar Electrode,” is a premium chromium carbide hardfacing electrode designed specifically for repair and maintenance operations in the sugar industry. It deposits a layer of small, hard, and highly wear-resistant globules that effectively roughen the surface of sugar mill rollers, improving grip and increasing sugar cane crushing efficiency.

This electrode significantly enhances the operational lifespan of crushing rollers while reducing downtime and maintenance costs associated with roller replacement. AZUCAL 80 offers excellent welder appeal with thin slag coverage, smooth maneuverability, and superior wetting action for consistent welding performance.

One of its key advantages is the ability to weld directly onto sugar-impregnated or wet surfaces, whether the roller is stationary, rotating, or operating during milling processes on lathes running at 3–5 RPM.

Key Features

  • Chromium carbide hardfacing electrode
  • Exceptional abrasion and wear resistance
  • Designed for sugar industry maintenance applications
  • Improves crushing roller performance and efficiency
  • Suitable for wet and sugar-coated surfaces
