Description
NSS-308L is a premium austenitic stainless steel welding electrode designed for joining and overlaying AISI 301, 302, and 304 stainless steels. Its lime-titania coating offers a soft, stable arc and outstanding weld puddle control, making the electrode suitable for all-position welding, including vertical and overhead.
Engineered for corrosion-resistant applications, NSS-308L provides ductile, crack-resistant weld deposits and maintains strength under elevated temperatures. With excellent slag detachability and spatter-free performance, it enhances productivity and finish quality in both workshop and field environments.
TYPICAL CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF WELD METAL (%)
| C | Si | Mn | Cr | Ni |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.02 | 0.67 | 1.03 | 19.97 | 9.69 |
This composition ensures strong resistance to chemical attack, oxidation, and general corrosion.
TYPICAL MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Yield Strength | 455 N/mm² (66 KSI) |
